Therapy

With the right approach therapy can provide you with support and guide you along a path of positive change. I offer a warm, supportive, and confidential space where you can explore any difficulties you are facing. I will listen with empathy and understanding while we explore issues together with the aim of enhancing a better quality of life. I aim to help you identify how your past conditioning is affecting you in the present and may be showing up in how you relate towards yourself and others. I intend to help you become aware of and befriend all parts of yourself, even the parts you feel adverse towards. With this awareness we can explore how you can start to transcend old patterns and learn new ways of being and responding that feels more authentic to you. We can also explore any self-limiting beliefs or beliefs you hold about the world and others which might be keeping you feeling stuck. I hope to assist you in understanding yourself on a deeper level, help you develop more self-acceptance and feel more empowered to create the changes you wish to make.

I do not believe that anyone is broken, but we may be feeling stuck in an autonomic nervous system state of survival (fight & flight, freeze or shutdown). I will help you develop an understanding of how the nervous system is wired from an evolutionally perspective for survival and guide you in mapping your nervous system states, understanding your triggers and in developing resources and tools for self-regulation. Online Therapy 

I offer online therapy to those who may have a preference to working virtually or do not live locally to work together in person and would like to work with me. 

​

How does it work?

The sessions work the same way as in person but we will be meeting online through the internet platform zoom by live video. There is no need to download any software as you will be sent a link via email to the online meeting just before the arranged time. Sessions are 50 minutes long. 

​

What you need:

- A good internet connection 

- A quiet space 

- A light environment 

- A confidential environment where you will feel comfortable expressing yourself freely

First session:

I appreciate how contacting and finding a suitable counsellor can be difficult. This is why I offer a free 30-minute telephone consultation giving you the opportunity to tell me a little about what is going on for you and to ask any questions you may have. Also, for you to get to know how I work and to see if I am the right counsellor for you. There is no obligation to book an appointment as choosing a counsellor that you feel comfortable with is important. If we book a first session, I will send you a therapeutic contract and assessment to complete before our first session. In the first session we will talk about what brings you to counselling and how we will work together.

Service Fees:

Online Individual therapy - £55 per session

Cancellation policy 

Please give at least 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel. Outside of 24 hours, the session will not be cancellable and you will still be charged.
