Using both top-down and bottom-up approaches, we can create change from the body up to the mind, and from the mind down into the body. Much of today’s world focuses almost exclusively on the mind, yet lasting change often begins at the body level. When the nervous system is in survival mode, mind only approaches are limited. In these circumstances, the body needs regulation first, which then creates the inner conditions for change to be more accessible through the mind. By taking a holistic, body-based approach, we meet ourselves where we are, restoring inner safety and capacity for change from the inside out.
